Angelica Maria Vale Hartman is an American-Mexican actor, comedian and singer-impersonator. Her birthplace is Mexico City and raised by the comedian Raul Vale. In 1973, she was credited as the person who launched the La Balada Ranchera (Ranchera Ballad) music genre that dominated the charts and made Angelica Maria the first Latin singer to sell two million copies in the United States. The year 1974 was the time she met Venezuelan singer/comedian Raul Vale who she wed in April 1975. This was the first wedding ceremony to be televised in Mexico.
